Day 1 Depart London Heathrow
Fly overnight from London with British Airways to Rio de Janeiro.
Day 2 Arrive Rio de Janeiro
Arrive in the morning where you will be met and escorted to the Leme Othon
Palace Hotel or upgrade to the Copacabana Palace Hotel for the next three
nights. Afternoon at leisure to relax and enjoy this vibrant city (B)
Day 3 Rio de Janeiro
Spend the day sightseeing with your guide. This morning enjoy a visit to
Corcovado Mountain to see the immense statue of Christ the Redeemer. Also
visit Santa Teresa, a charming bohemian district, noted for its colonial
and 19th Century buildings. After lunch visit the historical area of the
city, stopping at Cinelandia Square with its historical buildings including
the beautiful Municipal Theatre, the National Library and the National Museum
of Fine Arts. (B)
Day 4 Rio de Janeiro
Morning tour by Jeep to Tijuca, known as the worlds largest urban forest. The
forest with its beautiful trees, creeks and waterfalls has an excellent, well
marked trail system. In the afternoon take the cable car ride to Sugar Loaf
Mountain, from where the sunset views over Rio are breathtaking. (B)
Day 5 Rio de Janeiro to Iguassu – by air
Leave your hotel after breakfast and fly to Iguassu Falls. Four times wider than
Niagara, the Iguazu Falls are undoubtedly the most dramatic in the world. On your
arrival continue to the San Martin Hotel or upgrade to the Tropical das Cataratas
Hotel for two nights. (B)
Day 6 Iguassu
Today take a boat safari up the river to the Iguazu Falls – a cacophony
of thundering water, colourful rainbows and furious torrents make this a
breathtaking sight. (B)
Day 7 Iguazu to Manaus – by air
In the morning fly to Manaus, via Curitiba and Brasilia, the modern capital
of Amazonas, the largest state in Brazil. On arrival transfer to the Ecopark
Jungle Lodge in the Amazon rainforest for three nights. (B/L/D)
Day 8 Manaus

Day 9
Two full days exploring the region including visits to the monkey jungle,
a local Caboclo house to meet its Amazonian residents and alligator spotting
deep within the Amazon jungle. Take a boat trip to see the spectacular ‘meeting
of the waters’ where the black waters of the River Negro and the brown waters
of the Solimoes River meet.
Day 10 Manaus to Salvador – by air
This morning fly to Salvador, the capital of the state of Bahia. With its kaleidoscope
of cultures this is one of the most unique and interesting cities in the country.
Stay for two nights at the Bahia Othon Hotel or alternatively upgrade to the Casa
do Amelindo. (B)
Day 11 Salvador
Spend the day sightseeing with your guide in the historic old town recognized
as an UNESCO World Heritage Site and noted for its colonial architecture. It was
in this old town that the Portuguese built their fortified city and their influence
is still clear today. Visit the heart of the old town and walk through the narrow,
cobbled streets lined with ornate churches and houses painted in pastel colours. (B)
Day 12 Salvador to Praia do Forte – 80kms
This morning it’s a scenic drive to Praia do Forte, a fishing village and home
to the best beaches in Bahia. Stay at the Pousada Casa do Forte or upgrade to
the Praia do Forte Eco Resort to stay for three nights. (B/D)

Day 15 Salvador to Praia do Forte – 80kms
This morning transfer by car to the Praia do Forte Eco Resort to stay for
three nights on the palm fringed beaches of the Bahian coast. (B/D)
Day 16 Praia do Forte to Salvador
Salvador to Rio de Janeiro – by air
Rio de Janeiro to London
This morning transfer by car to Salvador Airport for your flight to Rio de
Janeiro and connect with the British Airways non–stop to London. (B)
