KUMAON VILLAGE WALK

Providing a unique insight into the lives of Kumaon villagers, this tour combines the bustle and colour of India's capital Delhi, the beautiful resort of Kalmatia Sangam and a guided three night trek through the Himalayan foothills. Ideal from autumn to spring, when the rhododendrons are in bloom and the Himalayan views are clearest, the treks usually last from five to seven hour. Please also note that accommodation during the trek is rustic but clean with basic amenities since stays are in the village houses that line the route.

As such, Shakti Himalaya has designed a 'village house' experience that avoids the over commercialisation of Leh and takes you out, off the beaten track to three unspoilt villages in the Indus valley.
