HERITAGE WALKS

  • DELHI
There are numerous heritage walks on offer in Delhi. Two of the more popular walks cover the Jama Masjid area of Old Delhi, which explores the many havelis and narrow streets, and Chandni Chowk from the gurudwara and oldest sweetshop in the city to the spice market. Tours following the route of the 1857 uprising can also be arranged taking in old neighbourhoods once inhabited by the British, Kashmiri Gate, the ridge, Viceregal Lodge, the Mutiny memorial and numerous battle sites.

  • MUMBAI
We offer two walking tours in the Fort area of Mumbai - both showcasing South Mumbai's amazing collection of historic colonial landmarks. Although some places, such as the Gateway of India, will be familiar the walks also introduce other less well known parts of the city. These include the Neo-Gothic Bombay University Library, Oval Maiden's 1930s Art Deco apartments, Elphinstone College, David Sassoon Library and Mumbai's oldest business district - still home to numerous banking establishments.

  • KOLKATA
Once the capital of British India, the heritage walks in Kolkata largely cover the 18th and early 19th Centuries from which many of the city's grandest buildings date from. Away from the hustle and bustle visit the vibrant flower market, the site of the 'black hole' at St John's Church and Writer's Building - the former home of the East India Company. Other places visited include the magnificent Governor's House, the Charnock Mausoleum, Calcutta Town Hall, the High Court and Howrah Bridge.
