VOYAGE TO KOMODO
Day 1 London Heathrow to Singapore
Fly with Singapore Airlines non-stop to Singapore.
Day 2 Singapore to Denpasar
Arrive Singapore and connect to your onward Singapore Airlines flight
to Denpasar. You will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel.
Stay at the Novotel Benoa Hotel for two nights. (N)
Day 3 Denpasar
Day at leisure to relax and acclimatise. (B)
Day 4 Denpasar to Benoa
Benoa to Teluk Nara
Today embark the Sea Safari (Deluxe Cabin) in Benoa Harbour. Morning
departure for Labuhan Amuk to enjoy water activities such as swimming,
snorkelling or diving. In the late afternoon depart to Teluk Nara
in Lombok. Overnight will be spent onboard the Boat. (B/L/D)
Day 5 Teluk Nara to Satonda Island
In the early morning as the sun rises over Mount Rinjani drop anchor
in Nara Bay on the North West Side of Lombok. After breakfast go ashore
to visit the tropical forest at Pusuk where you can feed monkeys and
in clear weather, enjoy the amazing view of surrounding forest and
the Gili Islands. Continue to the local market at Gunung Sari. Also
visit Lingsar Temple, a unique site that dates back to 1714 and is
sacred to both Hindus and Muslims. Return to the boat. Whilst taking
lunch the boat will set sail to Satonda. Overnight will be spent onboard
the Boat. (B/L/D)
Day 6 Satonda Island to Sumbawa
In the early morning arrive at the un-habitat island of Satonda. The
Island is separated by a narrow strait from the Tambora Volcano on
the Sumbawa mainland, the site of the largest eruption in recorded
history. Go ashore to explore the volcano. Free time in the afternoon
for swimming, snorkelling or diving. Later set sail to Komodo. Overnight
will be spent onboard the Boat. (B/L/D)
Day 7 Arrive Komodo National Park
In the morning arrive in Rinca passing through some small islands.
Continue to Komodo Island, land of the Komodo Dragon, the largest
monitor lizards on earth. Escorted by a local ranger walk around the
park in search of these huge reptiles in their own habitat. Around
sunset leave for Aimere. Overnight will be spent onboard the Boat.

Day 8 Arrive Aimere
This morning you will be collected from Aimere Pier and driven up
to Bajawa, a town in the Flores highland. The first stop will be made
at the foot of Mt Inelika. Trek for about 2½ hours to see the
Wawo Muda 'five new lakes'. Inelika erupted in Jan 2001 damaging farmland
but not injuring anybody. Continue to Bena, a village where people
preserve their ancestral spirits and way of life through their conical
thatched roof huts which symbolize the male and female ancestral spirits.
Afternoon return to Aimere and board the boat. Overnight will be spent
onboard the Boat. (B/L/D)
Day 9 Arrive Ende
After an early morning breakfast drive up to the Kelimutu volcano
to see the three coloured lakes. On arrival walk for 1½ km
and then ascend 127 steps to the top to view Kelimutu's green, blue
and black lakes. A Dutch Geologist discovered Kelimutu in 1914, at
that time the lakes were red, blue and white. Proceed to Jopu village
to view beautiful hand woven clothes and for its traditional Lionese
houses. Return to Ende and board the boat. Overnight will be spent
onboard the Boat. (B/L/D)
Day 10 Arrive Labuan Bajo
Early in the morning arrive at another island in Flores, Labuan Bajo.
Today there will be a half day excursion to Melo Village to see a
Caci dance performance and visit the local market. Lunch and dinner
will be served onboard before setting sail to Bima. Overnight will
be spent onboard the Boat. (B/L/D)
Day 11 Arrive Bima
Arrive in Bima, the busy traditional harbour in the heart of eastern
Sumbawa. Spend the morning exploring the town and the Donggo highland
west of Bima Bay. Around lunchtime, we leave the quay and sail westerly
for the overnight passage to Moyo. Overnight will be spent onboard
the Boat. (B/L/D)
Day 12 Arrive Moyo
Early arrival at Moyo Island, a wild-life and marine reserve. Make
a brief land visit on Moyo, a small island off the north of Sumbawa.
Stop at one of several fine snorkelling sites along its west coast
and go ashore at the village of Labuan Haji. In the late afternoon
we hoist the anchor and start sailing back to Benoa. Overnight will
be spent onboard the Boat. (B/L/D)
Day 13 Arrive Benoa
Arrive in Benoa Harbour in the afternoon. You will be met on arrival
and transferred to your hotel. Stay at the Novotel Benoa Hotel for
two nights. (B/L)
Day 14 Denpasar
At leisure. (B)
Day 15 Denpasar to Singapore
Singapore to London Heathrow
Today transfer to Denpasar airport for your Singapore Airlines flight
to London Heathrow via Singapore. (B)

Prices vary according to selected airlines, hotels and season, however, an indication to the current cost of this itinerary is from £3,225. All prices are per person and are based on a minimum of TWO persons travelling together and sharing a twin bedded room with meals as indicated. If you wish to travel alone we will be pleased to assist you with your arrangements and can provide a proposal on request.
