Day 1 London Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur
Depart London Heathrow on the Malaysian Airlines non-stop flight to Kuala Lumpur.

Day 2 Arrive Kuala Lumpur
Arrive Kuala Lumpur and on arrival proceed by car to the Grand Millennium Hotel or upgrade to Ritz Carlton Hotel. (N)

Day 3 Kuala Lumpur
This morning explore the city with a local guide covering the major historical landmarks such as the King’s Palace, the National Monument, the National Museum and the Merdeka Square. Also visit KL Tower and enjoy a panoramic view of the city. (B)

Day 4 Visit Malacca
Today visit the historic city of Malacca, which was founded in 1403. Visit the oldest Chinese temple in Malaysia; the Cheng Hoon Teng, the Dutch Stadthuys and Porta de Santiago. Return to Kuala Lumpur for your overnight stay. (B/L)

Day 5 Kuala Lumpur to Cameron Highlands – 220kms
Head north to the Cameron Highlands an altitude of around 1,600 metres above sea level this is an important tea-producing region. Stay at the Lakehouse Hotel or upgrade to the Cameron Highland Resort. (B)

Day 6 Cameron Highlands
Today visit a tea plantation. Later relax and enjoy the invigorating countryside. (B)

Day 7 Cameron Highlands to Penang – 295kms
Depart north via Ipoh and the Ubudiah Mosque in Kuala Kangsar. Continue to Bukit Merah Laketown and take a boat ride to Orang Utan Island. Finally cross over Penang Bridge onto the island of Penang. Stay at the Eastern & Oriental Hotel. (B)

Day 8 Penang
Today explore Penang known as the Pearl of the Orient and the oldest British settlement in Malaysia. See the various attractions in Georgetown including Dragon Mountain Hall, historic Fort Cornwallis, the Thai temple of Wat Chayamangkalaram and the Hainan Temple. Just outside of the city the Penang War Museum offers an interesting insight into the history of Malaya during World War II. (B/L)

Day 9 Penang to Kota Bharu - 396kms
Drive across the east-west highway to Kota Bharu an important centre for Malay culture, crafts and religion. It’s the place to see kite-flying contests, admire traditional woodcarvings, explore colourful markets and marvel at the skills of songket weavers. Stay at the Renaissance Hotel. (B)

Day 10 Kota Bharu
Today you have a whole day to discover this city, the Central Market and the Buluh Kubu Bazaar. Within walking distance are the State Museum and the Royal Museum. (B)

Day 11 Kota Bharu to Tanjong Jara – 315kms
Leave for Kuala Terengganu with a stop at Pulau Duyong to view the local master boatbuilders at work. Continue to the Tanjong Jara Resort where you will stay for the next four nights. (B)

Kuala Lumpur to London Heathrow

Prices vary according to selected airlines, hotels and season, however, an indication to the current cost of this itinerary is from £3,910. All prices are per person and are based on a minimum of TWO persons travelling together and sharing a twin bedded room with meals as indicated.
