Day 1 London Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur
Depart London Heathrow on the Malaysian Airlines flight non-stop to Kuala Lumpur.
Day 2 Arrive Kuala Lumpur
Arrive Kuala Lumpur and on arrival proceed by car to the Majestic Hotel. (N)
Day 3 Kuala Lumpur
This morning explore the city with a local guide covering the major historical
landmarks such as the King’s Palace, the National Monument, the National Museum
and the Merdeka Square. Also visit KL Tower and enjoy a panoramic view of the
city. (B)
Day 4 Kuala Lumpur to Kuching – by air
Fly to Kuching and on arrival stay at the Kuching Hilton Hotel. Afternoon tour the
town including Fort Margarita built by Raja Charles Brooke in the 1870s. Also visit
the Sarawak Museum established in 1891 which houses a fine collection of flora and
fauna together with the history and culture of the tribal people of Sarawak. (B)
Day 5 Kuching to Batang Ai – 265kms
Leave in the morning for Serian a colourful market town and, following lunch at Lachau
bazaar, take a scenic longboat ride up the Lemanak River. Visit a typical longhouse
village before returning downriver to the jetty to transfer by road and boat to the
Hilton Batang Ai Longhouse Resort which is dramatically situated by a lake. (B/L)
Day 6 Batang Ai
Today you will have the opportunity to swim fish or take a walk to experience the
stimulating sights and sounds of the forest. (B/L)
Day 7 Batang Ai to Kuching – 265kms
This morning retrace your journey back to Kuching and stay overnight at the Kuching
Hilton Hotel. (B/L)
Day 8 Kuching to Kota Kinabalu – by air
This morning leave Kuching and fly to Kota Kinabalu. On your arrival proceed to the
Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Resort where you will stay for the next two nights.
Day 9 Kota Kinabalu
A full day visit to Kinabalu Park. Situated 90kms from Kota Kinabalu, this is one of
the most biologically diverse areas in the world. Return to your hotel in the
afternoon. (B/L)
Day 10 Kota Kinabalu to Sandakan – by air
Sandakan to Selingan - by boat
Fly to Sandakan and take a forty-five minute boat ride by speedboat to Selingan Island.
The remainder of your day is at leisure to relax, swim or snorkel on this beautiful island.
In the evening wait for the ranger’s call to observe turtles laying their eggs. Stay
overnight in a Simple Chalet. (B/L/D)
Day 11 Selingan to Sandakan – by boat
Sandakan to Sukau – by boat
Return to Sandakan by boat and proceed to the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre.
From Sandakan it is a two hour journey by ferry along the Kinabatangan River to the
Sukau Rainforest Lodge which offers the opportunity to view birds and wildlife in their
mangrove, wetland and rainforest habitat. Stay overnight at the Sukau Rainforest
Lodge. (B/L/D)
Day 12 Sukau to Danum Valley
After breakfast, depart for Lahad Datu, gateway to the Danum Valley. Stay for two
nights at the Borneo Rainforest Lodge overlooking the Danum River. Lodge activities
include jungle walks, bird watching with resident nature guides, canopy walkways high
above the jungle floor that allow the viewing of the rainforest from the treetops
and night safaris with sights and sounds emanating deep from within the rainforest.
Day 13 Danum Valley
At leisure to enjoy the Lodge and the views, discuss with the Lodge which guided
activities would be most suitable to you.
Day 14 Danum Valley to Lahad Datu
Lahad Datu to Kota Kinabalu – by air
Return to by road to Lahad Datu for your flight to Kota Kinabalu. On your arrival
stay at the Shangri–La Tanjung Aru Resort for three nights.
Day 15 Kota Kinabalu

Day 16 Kota Kinabalu
At leisure. (B)
Day 17 Kota Kinabalu to London
Fly from Kota Kinabalu back to Kuala Lumpur and connect onto the Malaysian Airlines
flight to London. (B)
Day 18 Arrive London
Arrive into London Heathrow.

Prices vary according to selected airlines, hotels and season, however, an indication to the current cost of this itinerary is from £5,130. All prices are per person and are based on a minimum of TWO persons travelling together and sharing a twin bedded room with meals as indicated. If you wish to travel alone we will be pleased to assist you with your arrangements and can provide a proposal on request.
