ESSAOUIRA
The historic walled town of Essaouira on the Atlantic Coast is situated by an extensive sandy bay just 180kms west of Marrakech. There really is a distinctive Mediterranean atmosphere to picturesque Essaouira with its white walled alleyways and faded blue windows and shutters, yet wandering through the Medina with its labyrinth of souks it is also delightfully Moroccan.
VILLA MAROC
Situated just inside the ramparts of the Medina this small hotel consists
of four interconnected 18th Century riads that have been tastefully furnished
and decorated throughout by local artisans. The twenty bedrooms and suites
are comfortably furnished and are arranged around a labyrinth of terraces.
DAR MIMOSAS
Set behind high terracotta walls, Dar Mimosas is an oasis for relaxation and
privacy yet is less than ten minutes by car from the old town. Within the
tranquil gardens are eight beautifully designed one and two bedroom suites
each with a terrace or small garden. The main house has a salon and dining
room where excellent lunch and dinner can be arranged and cooked to order.
L’ HEURE BLEUE
A member of Relais & Chateaux, this luxurious riad is situated by the
Bab Marrakech gate of Essaouira’s Medina. Tastefully restored to the
highest of standards this former palace features a beautiful central courtyard
which is the heart of the hotel. There are thirty-five bedrooms and suites
all elegantly furnished in contemporary style. Facilities include a roof top
terrace with a swimming pool.
