The old city of Fes has a vast Medina with many historic buildings and an intricate network of narrow lanes. Visit the Roman ruins at Volubilis then traverse the Atlas Mountains to the Berber fortresses of Erfoud and the mighty Sahara Desert. Leaving here, drive north through rugged, spectacular scenery, past fortified Kasbahs vibrant Marrakech ending your journey by the coast in beautiful Essaouira.
