ENCHANTING OMAN
Day 1 London Heathrow to Muscat
Depart London Heathrow on the overnight Oman Air flight to Muscat.
Day 2 Arrive Muscat
Arrive into Muscat where you will be met and transferred to the Grand Hyatt Hotel which will be your base
for the next two nights. The rest of the day will be at leisure to relax after your journey. (N)
Day 3 Muscat
Today enjoy sightseeing of Muscat, capital of Oman and a city with a character quite distinct to its
neighbouring capitals. Places of interest include the narrow white–washed streets of the old walled city,
the Grand Mosque and Natural History Museum. (B)
Day 4 Muscat to Hail al Shas
via Jabrin, Bahla and Wadi Ghul
This morning leave Muscat and head into the interior of the country to Hail al Shas through the Jabal
Shams Mountains. Stop en–route in Jabrin to visit the spectacular castle, Bahla Fort and the canyon at
Wadi Ghul. On your arrival stay for two nights at The View Camp. (B/L/D)
Day 5 Hail al Shas.
Today enjoy a full day visit exploring the dramatic mountain scenery. Places of interest include the many
picturesque mountain villages that make up this region as well as the Al Hoota caves.
Day 6 Hail al Shas to the Wahiba Sands.
via Nizwa
After breakfast continue by road to Nizwa which is surrounded by an oasis of date palms and dominated by
its 17th century fort constructed by Sultan bin Saif al–Yaruba. Later continue onto the Wahiba Sands — home
of the Bedouins — where you will stay overnight at the Desert Nights Camp. (B/D)
Day 7 Wahiba Sands to Ras Al–Jinz
Today visit the beautiful Wadi Bani Khalid en–route to coastal Ras Al–Jinz — the easternmost point of the
Arabian Peninsula. An important turtle nesting site, in the evening visit the protected beach with a warden
and witness up to five different species of turtle who call this area home. Stay overnight at the Ras Al–Jinz Centre
Hotel. (B/D)
Day 8 Ras Al–Jinz to Muscat
This morning leave Ras Al–Jinz and return to Muscat and the Al Waha Hotel which will be your base for the next
four nights. (B/L/D)
Day 9 Muscat
to
Day 11 Muscat
At leisure to relax by the sea. (B)
Day 12 Day Muscat to London Heathrow
Today you will be transferred back to Muscat Airport in good time to catch your return flight
to London.
