This is a land of traditional covered souks, towering mountains and beautiful coastal scenery combined with a distinct and proudly maintained culture. Start your journey in Muscat before heading into Oman’s mountainous interior. A region famed for its military architecture, visit the castles at Jabrin and Bahla before continuing onto the historic town of Nizwa and the remarkable desert sand dunes of the Wahiba Sands. End your time relaxing by the coast outside of Muscat.

Sharing a border to the north with the United Arab Emirates, to the west with Saudi Arabia and to the east with the Arabian Sea, Oman is famed for its spectacularly diverse natural scenery. This itinerary begins in capital Muscat, with ample time for exploration, before continuing onto historic Nizwa, Jabrin castle, Bahla Fort and the fascinating Bat tombs. Leaving the mountains of the Jabal Shams behind, drive to the Wahiba Sands where a night will be spent in the desert. End your journey by flying to Salalah in southern Oman to relax and experience the local region.
