Day 1 London to Buenos Aires
Fly overnight from London to Buenos Aires with British Airways.

Day 2 Arrive Buenos Aires
Arrive in the morning where you will be met and escorted to the Hotel Sofitel or the Hotel Alvear Palace. In the afternoon tour this energetic city where the lifestyle and architecture is more European than any other in South America.

Day 3 Buenos Aires
Today go by hydrofoil to Colonia del Sacramento, a UNESCO World Heritage site situated just across the River Plata in Uruguay. Founded in 1680 by the Portuguese, this old colonial town with its cobbled streets and picturesque old houses is rich in history.

Day 4 Buenos Aires to Ushuaia – by air
Transfer to the airport for your flight south to Ushuaia the most southerly town in the world. Set on the shores of the Beagle Channel against an impressive backdrop of snow peaked mountains Ushuaia is the base for exploring the Tierra del Fuego National Park. Stay for two nights at the Las Hayas Resort Hotel overlooking the Beagle Channel outside of the town.

Day 5 Ushuaia
Today cruise the Beagle Channel and its bays to view Sea Lion Island, Estancia Harberton and the Penguin Colony.

Day 6 Ushuaia to El Calafate – by air
Fly north to El Calafate, gateway to the magnificent Perito Moreno and the Glaciers National Park. The Perito Moreno glacier is without doubt one of South America’s most magnificent sights, and arguably one of the world’s greatest wonders. Stay for three nights at the Posada Los Alamos in El Calafate or in the heart of the park at the Hostería Los Notros, situated on a hillside overlooking the beautiful Lago Argentino and the Perito Moreno glacier.

Day 7 & Day 8 Perito Moreno
Two full days of sightseeing in the National Park. A must is to view close up the colossal Perito Moreno glacier which spans five kilometres across and towers some 60 metres above the surface of the lake. From an observation platform or boat watch as huge chunks of blue ice shear off the face of the glacier and crash into the waters below. Also take a boat excursion to the Upsala and Onelli Glaciers.

Day 9 El Calafate to Bariloche – by air
Leave behind the remote and rugged land of glaciers and fly north to the alpine climes of Bariloche, beautifully situated on the southern shore of Nahuel Huapi in the heart of the Argentine Lake District. Stay for two nights at the Llao Llao Hotel.

Day 10 Bariloche
At leisure to relax and enjoy the town and views at your own pace.

Day 11 Bariloche to Iguazú – by air
Fly to Iguazú Falls, four times wider than Niagara, they are undoubtedly the most dramatic in the world. On arrival proceed to the Sheraton International Iguazú for two nights.

Day 12 Iguazú
Today experience the Argentine side of the falls and go by cat walk for a close up view of the ‘Devil’s Throat’ and the lush tropical basin of the Devil’s Gorge. The thunder of the water and the brilliance of the rainbow crowning the fury of the torrent is a breathtaking sight.

Day 13 Iguazú to Sao Paulo – by air
Spend the morning (when the light is best) on the Brazilian side of the falls which offer wonderful panoramic views. Then transfer to Cataratas airport for your flight to Sao Paulo in Brazil. On arrival stay up to departure at the Sao Paulo Airport Marriott Hotel. In the evening depart by British Airways non-stop to London.

Day 14 Arrive London
Arrive London in the morning.
