The Taj Exotica is situated 8kms south of Male and is a haven of relaxation
and tranquillity. Occupying tiny island just 700 metres long by 30 metres
wide, the resort is encircled by white sand beaches and a wonderful lagoon.
Taj Exotica offers luxury lagoon and beach villas. Each lagoon villa has a
private sundeck, perched on stilts with steps leading into the Indian Ocean.
The deluxe beach villas have private beachfront verandas with sun beds, some
having their own plunge pools. There is a choice of two restaurants and a
lounge bar with panoramic views over the lagoon. Watersports include a PADI
diving school, snorkelling, and fishing as well as a wide-ranging spa. Transfer
time by speedboat is around 25 minutes.
TAJ CORAL REEF RESORT
HEMBADHU
The Taj Coral Reef Resort is situated in the North Male Atoll. All rooms are
comfortably decorated with every modern amenity available. Accommodation consists
of 35 Lagoon Villas built on stilts over the water. Each villa boasts a private
sundeck and offers views of the sea from the villa and bathroom. The 30 Beach
Villas are situated a few seconds from the beach, each with individual balconies,
hammocks, sun beds and an open-air garden shower. The resort runs a watersports
centre and a PADI dive school, with numerous dive sites and a shipwreck in
the area. Facilities include two restaurants, bar, freshwater swimming pool
and an exclusive Mandara Spa complex. Transfer time by speedboat is around
60 minutes.
SONEVA GILI RESORT & SPA
LANKANFUSHI ISLAND
The luxurious Soneva Gili Resort & Spa is situated on Lankanfushi Island
in North Male Atoll, just 15 minutes by speedboat from the airport. The resort
is surrounded by a shallow lagoon and enclosed by a coral reef, providing
crystal clear waters ideal for snorkelling and a variety of water sports.
The Water Villa suites are beautifully appointed featuring natural woods,
traditional fabrics and a cantilevered sundeck sitting just above the water.
The bathrooms have been designed with a separate shower accessed along an
open walkway with its own private water garden. For total privacy and luxury,
7 Crusoe Residences are only accessible by personal boat. Facilities include
a PADI diving school, snorkelling and health spa.
SONEVA FUSHI RESORT & SPA
KUNFUNADHOO ISLAND
Soneva Fushi Resort & Spa is set in a tropical paradise on the island
of Kunfunadhoo, a large island in the Baa Atoll. One of the most luxurious
resorts, the location is well off the beaten track, set amidst a wonderful
tropical paradise. All the villas have been carefully sited within a few steps
of the white sand beach and shielded by lush tropical vegetation, providing
maximum privacy and relaxation. The villas are tastefully appointed and feature
natural woods, traditional fabrics and garden bathrooms. The island can be
explored by bicycle or on foot. Facilities include a PADI dive school, snorkelling
in the shallow lagoon and a health spa. Transfer time by seaplane from the
airport is around 30 minutes.
