Representing
over half of the planet’s remaining rainforests
and home to one of the world’s largest and
most richly varied collection of species, the Amazon
is a treasure trove of natural wonders.
Pettitts is offering an eight-day
cruise that takes visitors to some of the region’s
most unspoilt and untouched corners, to the mysterious
life of the forest wilderness and into the heart
of breathtaking nature.
Visiting some of the least inhabited
parts of the world’s second longest river
and led by accomplished naturalists who bring the
amazing flora, fauna and species to life, travellers
will venture back in time to a place where locations
and natural habitats have remain unchanged for millions
of years.
A major highlight of this trip
is a carefully planned programme of excursions deep
into the Lago Janauari Ecological Park, many secluded
villages and a journey across a corner of the world
that is truly beautiful. With just nine cabins and
a maximum of 18 guests, the Motor Yacht Tucano is
a comfortable and spacious expedition vessel with
large sleeping quarters featuring beautiful woodwork,
private facilities and air-conditioning. There is
a large glass observation deck and an inviting saloon
in which to read, relax, take in the views, share
the day’s experiences and enjoy the freshly
prepared meals.
