Traverse the ancient Silk Road from Beijing to Uzbekistan, experience nomadic Mongolia or instead focus on the UNESCO World Heritage City of Khiva as well as Bukhara and the evocative Samarkand which are all easily combined with neighbouring Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
