Easter in Armenia

7 days from £2295 per person

This tour offers a unique opportunity to spend Easter 2018 in Armenia. Renowned for its Christian heritage, Armenia was the first state to embrace Christianity in 310 AD. Little visited by tourists, Armenia has a long history, distinct culture and spectacular natural scenery. This tour takes advantage of Armenia's important role in the foundation of the Christian Church and offers a wonderful chance to experience the Easter celebrations in the country's many medieval churches and monasteries.

Route: Yerevan

Itinerary Highlights

Armenia is the oldest Christian country in the world and Easter is a particularly special time to visit and pay homage to this non-secular event.

Yerevan is Armenia’s cultural core, a library of historical landmarks, Soviet-era architecture, attractive squares and well-maintained gardens ready to be explored.

Soak up the atmosphere at the cathedral in Echmiadzin as you observe the traditional Easter Eve celebrations alongside the friendly locals.
