Starting in Rio de Janeiro, fly to the spectacular Iguassu Falls which are four times wider than those at Niagara. From here fly to Manaus and explore the heart of the Amazon before flying to the UNESCO protected city of Salvador. End your journey relaxing by the beach at Praia do Forte.

Spend the day exploring Rio de Janeiro with your guide. This morning ascend the Corcovado Mountain to view the iconic statue of Christ the Redeemer and enjoy the spectacular views over the city. Visit the bohemian district of Santa Teresa complete with beautiful colonial buildings. After lunch visit the historical area of the city, stopping the historical Cinelandia Square and explore the pretty Municipal Theatre, the National Museum of Fine Arts and the National Library. (B)

This morning take a jeep tour Tijuca, known as the world’s largest urban forest. The forest with its beautiful trees, creeks and waterfalls has an excellent, enjoy walking through well-marked trail system. In the afternoon take the cable car ride to Sugar Loaf Mountain, from where the sunset views over Rio are breathtaking. (B)

Leave your hotel after breakfast and fly to Iguaçu Falls. Four times wider than Niagara, the Iguaçu Falls are undoubtedly the most dramatic in the world. Spend the afternoon at lesire at your hotel or visit the small town. (B)

Today discover the Brazilian side of the incredible natural wonder. Take a boat safari up the river to the Iguaçu Falls – a cacophony of thundering water, colourful rainbows and furious torrents make this a breathtaking sight. Wander down the floating boardwalks and platforms to get the best views of the mighty falls. (B)

Today spend the day sightseeing with your guide in the UNESCO-listed old town of Salvador. Recognised for its colonial and colourful architecture, it was in this old town that the Portuguese built their fortified city and their influence is still clear today. Visit the heart of the old town and meander through the cobbled streets lined with ornate churches, lively restaurants and pastel-coloured houses.(B)
