ITINERARY HIGHLIGHTS
Set away from the better known temples of the Angkor complex, Banteay Srei is dedicated to Shiva and Vishnu and has some fabulous religious sandstone friezes and sculptures.
The largest city and capital of Laos, Vientiane is set on the north bank of the Mekong River across from Thailand. The French repaired many temples here and left colonial buildings.
Lovely Luang Prabang in northern Laos is surrounded by forested green hills and hugged by the Mekong River. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the town was once the Royal capital.
