Discover More About Rajasthan

Rajasthan

Located to the west of India’s capital Delhi, for many Rajasthan is India. This is a region of mighty deserts, magnificent forts and opulent palaces, of colourful turbans and saris, tiger reserves, temples and ancestral homes. Explore Jaipur and the superb City Palace complex, marvel at the ‘blue city’ of Jodhpur and magnificent Meherangarh Fort, spend time in atmospheric Udaipur or travel west to the remote desert city of Jaisalmer. Head to the countryside to experience quintessential Rajasthani hospitality, attend the chaotic annual livestock fair at Pushkar and stay in atmospheric palaces and forts – many of which are still family owned. For wildlife lovers, the Project Tiger reserve at Ranthambore is a must and nearby Bharatpur National Park is home to over 360 species of bird. Pettitts have led the way in designing tailor-made holidays and tours to Rajasthan for over 25 years.
