The Bison

Overview

The Bison is a traditional, safari-style tented camp which stands right on the waterside of the Kabini River at the edge of the Nagarhole National Park. The Bison is a perfect match for those seeking accommodation in a tranquil setting, rustic luxury and opportunities to witness an abundance of Asiatic wildlife.

Accommodation

The whole camp is raised up on stilts, which connects with each of the luxury tents via a wooden walkway. The Deluxe Luxury Tents are elegantly decorated with influences from African camps, combined with old world charm of ancient Raj hunting lodges. Each of the tents offers the perfect balance of comfort and the great outdoors. Canvas tents drape under thatched roofs, smart wooden floors cover the interiors, king sized four-poster beds offer a good night’s sleep and spacious bathrooms include a 7x6ft walk in tub and rain shower. All of the tents have private verandahs with seating and views of the forest.

The Rustic Machans include many similarities to the Deluxe Luxury Tents, however these are set in an elevated position 20ft off the ground and offer stunning aerial views of the camp, backwaters and surrounding forest.
