Images of Jordan

8 days from £2965 per person

The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is an ancient land steeped in history and culture home not only to some of the world’s most important ancient remains but also to striking landscapes from the desert expanses of Wadi Rum to the remarkable Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. Starting in Amman, visit the fascinating Greco–Roman city of Jerash – one of the best preserved of the region – before driving south to the remarkable ancient UNESCO protected city of Petra. After visiting Wadi Rum’s ‘Seven Pillars of Wisdom’ end your journey with a relaxing two nights by the unique Dead Sea.

Route: Amman – Petra – Dead Sea

Itinerary Highlights

Amman, Jordan’s modern capital, has many ancient monuments. The historic citadel includes the Roman Temple of Hercules and the grand dome of the Umayyad Palace.

Enter the sandrock city of Petra by foot and prepare to be amazed by the looming cliffs that lead you to the incredible façade of the Treasury.

The Dead Sea, an intensely blue and very salty body of water is the lowest point on earth that does wonders for the skin and is enjoyable to bob around in.
