Luang Prabang Holidays

Encircled by the mountains of northern Laos and resting on the banks of the Mekong River, the former Royal capital of Luang Prabang is an eclectic mix of historic temples and old French colonial mansions. This sleepy riverside town feels as if time has stood still and is the perfect place to sit back French coffee in hand, relax, re-charge and watch the world go by. Luang Prabang is the religious centre of the country and also a UNESCO World Heritage Site making it a wonderfully atmospheric place to explore. Visit the Royal Palace Museum, Wat Xieng Thong and That Makmo, climb Mount Phu Si or travel by boat upstream on the Mekong River to see the Buddha images of the Pak Ou caves.
