Framed by the majestic Swiss Alps and boasting an idyllic setting on the shores of Lake Zürich, Switzerland’s largest city is also the country’s premier opera destination. Most associate Zürich with finance and banking however the city is a vibrant hub of culture and art with over 50 museums and more than 100 galleries to discover, a picturesque cobbled old town, scenic waterfront and even its own mountain, the Uetliberg.
At the heart of this cultural landscape stands the Zürich Opera House, known locally as the Opernhaus Zürich. A leading centre for both European opera and classical music, the opera house is set on grand Sechseläutenplatz, close to the banks of the Zürichsee. Home of the renowned Philharmonia Zürich, the opera house is particularly noted for its interpretations of German, Italian and French operas as well as experimental works by up and coming composers. With excellent public transport, a centre ideal for exploring on foot and easily accessible forest trails, Zürich offers a perfect mix of culture, scenery and the great outdoors.

Our Reviews
What our clients say
Exceeded our expectations
KR - Milan Opera - October 2025
We had a great time thanks. Transfers were easy and the hotel very good. The highpoint was the La Scala theatre and Rigoletto performance. The seats could not have been better, and the performance was outstanding. We can't thank you enough for making everything hassle free and providing a trip which exceeded our expectations.
