The GolfLeaf service offers more flexibility to move around with travel in a bi-level coach where there is seating upstairs with large dome windows and a dining service below. In total there are five different Rocky Mountaineer routes through western Canada to choose from, each with their own unique characteristic. First time visitors to the region tend to choose the ‘First Passage to the West’ that links Banff with Vancouver. A popular combination is the ‘Scenic Highway’ drive from Calgary to Jasper through stunning scenery followed by the ‘Journey through the Clouds’ between Jasper and Vancouver. An alternative route between Jasper and Vancouver is the ‘Rainforest to Gold Rush’ that explores the wilds of northern British Columbia or, for those planning to continue on to the USA, the ‘Coastal Passage’ rail journey connects Jasper with Seattle.
