Cambodia Wildlife Holidays
Virachey National Park in Cambodia’s remote north east is arguably South East Asia’s premier wildlife reserve but with its inaccessible location Virachey is difficult to access and a challenge to explore. Nevertheless, for wildlife enthusiasts, a visit here is an immensely rewarding experience. With mountainous terrain and dense tropical jungle, the reserve remains one of the best places to see, and hear, gibbon as well as a number of rare birds including the great hornbill and giant ibis. Virachey also has secretive populations of sun bear, tiger and clouded leopard. Closer to Phnom Penh it is possible to see Irrawaddy River dolphins in the Mekong at Kratie or explore the rainforest in southern Cambodia close to Tatai. Every Cambodia wildlife tour that we design is one-off, memorable and special.
