Nepal Wildlife Holidays
Outside of the capital and neighbouring Kathmandu Valley, much of Nepal is a remote wilderness of high mountain passes, thickly wooded valleys and low impenetrable grasslands ideal for supporting a wide range of flora and fauna. Nepal has long taken wildlife conservation very seriously and there are many protected areas in the country including the excellent national parks at Chitwan and Bardia and the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve which is renowned for its bird watching. Chitwan, however, remains the nation’s premier reserve and its proximity to Kathmandu and Pokhara makes it the ideal choice for those wishing to see tiger, elephant, one-horned rhinoceros and the elusive leopard. We have over 25 years’ experience planning Nepal wildlife tours.
